MARK GUARINO is currently under contract with the University of Chicago Press for a book that documents the history of country and folk music in Chicago. The book will span the decades starting with the National Barn Dance in the 1930s to the alt-country era of the late 1980s and beyond. It will be published in early 2023.

Mark has an MFA in Writing from Bennington College in Vermont.
